Japanese and Chinese Porcelain Tableware
Item Details
An assortment of Chinese and Japanese porcelain tableware. Included are a pair of vintage Chinese rice bowls, accented with translucent ‘grains’ of rice to the body. They are finished with geometric and foliate bands and bear a reign mark to the base, though they were likely produced in the early 20th century. Also included are three plates and two vases. Each is decorated with blue transfer landscapes and geometric details. The vase bears a Qianlong reign mark but is contemporary. Three bowls, hand-painted with spontaneous blue accents, are also included.
Condition
- hairline fracture to one rice bowl; intentionally distressed finish throughout including glazing imperfections, minor marks, crazing, and discoloration.
