Oneida Community "Grosvenor" Silver-Plated Flatware
Item Details
A silver-plated flatware set by Oneida Community. This is in the Grosvenor N. Allen designed Grosvenor pattern, first introduced in 1921, which features a flared handle with a Neoclassical style embossed pattern. The set includes dinner knives, dinner forks, salad forks, tablespoons, teaspoons, a meat forks, and a pierced pie server, all marked ‘Community Plate’. They are presented with tablespoons and teaspoons in the Patrician pattern by Oneida/Community and a master butter knife in the English Gentry pattern by Reed & Barton. The collection comes in a wooden flatware chest with red felt-like interior lining.
Condition
- to fair; mild to moderate surface wear including marks, scratches, and tarnishing; few spots of denting; the flatware chest is in fair condition, significant surface wear and scratches on the exterior and some damage and tear on the interior lining.
