An antique mixed wood, ladder back rocking chair with a rush seat, circa early to mid 19th century. A classic rocker featuring four shaped rails and curved arms supported by a turned post. The rush seat is woven in an envelope-fold pattern and the chair rests on round legs attached to the rocker rails joined by box stretchers.
