Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Kurdish Bijar accent rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of red, salmon, cobalt blue, olive, beige and black. It features two pierced medallions with crenelated sides on a pierced, crenelated burgundy lozenge with floral figures to the center. The corners of the rug are decorated with floral and figural forms on a slate ground. Accent rug has geometric guard borders and a principal, unresolved border featuring pierced, modified geometric pattern border with a meander vine minor border. It has fringe to either end with overcast selvedges. Unmarked.
