An Asmara hand knotted wool Savonile Ravenna Pompeii pattern rug. This rug features a lattice motif to the center ground on a golden yellow field, accented with leafy branch motifs with cascades of fruit in accent tones of green, brown and dark brick red. The variegated pile transitions from a plush pile in the style of Italian cut velvet, to a textural flat weave. The rug finishes with overcast selvages and turned under ends, being marked to verso with an Asmara Inc. manufacturers label.
