A Chinese warrior and horse figurine from Comego. This stoneware item depicts a colorful Chinese warrior on his muscular steed. The warrior pulls the bridle strap to the left as the horse and rider appear to suddenly stop. In his right hand is a type of scimitar. The pair is attached to a base made to resemble rough ground. This work is marked to the base in Chinese characters that read ‘Made in China’. The side of the base is marked in the surface ‘CRosa – 1897’.
