A set of sterling silver flatware by International Silver Co. This is in the Lillian V.M. Helander designed Spring Glory pattern, first introduced in 1942, which features a flared handle that has acanthus leaf decoration and a flower accented tip with openwork. The fifty-seven piece set includes eight dinner forks, eight salad forks, eight soup spoons, ten teaspoons, eight butter spreaders, an olive fork, a master butter knife, a ladle, a sugar spoon, and three serving spoons, all marked ‘International Sterling’ and ‘Spring Glory’ to the backs. They are presented with eight dinner knives with stainless blades and sterling handles. Also included is a teaspoon in a different pattern, a ladle and a teaspoon in the Prelude pattern by International Silver Co., and a heart-shaped bon bon bowl by Fisher Silversmiths. The set is presented in a wooden flatware chest with a light green felt-like lining to the interior. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives with stainless blades, is 66.185 ozt.
