A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Bakhshayesh Heriz carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of brick, ivory, deep indigo, gold, rose, sage and sky blue. The brick-colored lozenge field features three large central medallions along with geometric floral motifs and ivory spandrels. Framing the field is an unresolved primary samovar border along with a barber pole guard border. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
