Item Details
An antique lithograph topographical map titled Moon’s Geographical Definitions. This map of the Atlantic region of Earth (not the moon) depicts basic topographical attributes of the land masses, as well as historic oceanic routes between Europe and North America. The map is mounted to a wood backing with a light green painted border in a black wood frame. ‘Kress Lith Co.’ and ‘Copyright 1819’ are hand painted along the lower border. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
Condition
- discoloration and stains throughout print; scratches with print loss throughout; chips to print and mount at corners; chipping and scratches to paint of frame throughout; wear and nicks to frame.
