1960s Zenith 3000-1 Trans-Oceanic Multi-Band Radio

A vintage Zenith Trans-Oceanic FM-AM Multi-band Royal ‘3000-1’ radio. Manufactured between 1963 and 1971, this portable nine-band model includes AM, FM, and seven shortwave bands. This model features an integral telescopic antenna mounted to the handle, a rotating band selector drum, an illuminated dial, a Dial-O-Map manual stored to an interior compartment, and chrome trim. It was able to receive FAA and marine weather navigation reports, ship-to-shore communication, and ship-to-ship communication.

Condition

- untested; no battery pack; the “-1” in the model number indicates it can accept an external AC adapter power supply. The unit appears in good overall condition with some scratches and surface marks. The original manual is included.
