Grinnell Oil Painting on Canvas of Country Estate
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas by Grinnell. The piece depicts a bucolic country estate set against green fields and vegetation, grey skies and distant purple mountains. The work is signed ‘Grinnell’ in yellow paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame with gesso floral and beaded embellishments. The frame includes an off-white fabric liner and gold tone fillet to the front and is fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- wear to edges of painted image; canvas is not fully secure inside frame; edge wear and scratches to frame; dust and accretion present to painting and frame; no backing paper present.
