This painting depicts a calm brook cutting through a rocky shore, which is accented with grass hills supporting curved trees that obscure into the distance of autumnal tones. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature appearing to read ‘O. A. Herz’. The tile is presented in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
