Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Sarouk Area Rug

Item Details

A vintage hand-knotted Persian Sarouk area rug. The wool pile rug features an allover Herati improvised asymmetrical pattern on deep red field in palette of cream, tumeric, burgundy, brown, gray and indigo. The two minor borders feature a Rhodesian pattern and the primary border on cream is a meandering lobed flower pattern. All three borders are unresolved. The rug edges have natural cotton warp fringe. The rug is unsigned.
