A power-loomed Genghis area rug by Trans-Ocean Rugs. This wool rug features a Chinese-inspired design in a palette of charcoal, peach, shades of blue, and cream. It begins with a round central medallion over a charcoal field, which is populated with smaller medallions and clusters of vines and flowers. Corners are filled with scrolling vinework and florals. The field is framed by five borders, including a wide main border grounded in cream and filled with scrolling foliage and round, Chinese-style medallions. Selvedges are serged, the rug finishing at each end with long, applied fringe.
