1835 Paul Storr London Sterling Silver Serving Dish
Item Details
An antique sterling silver serving dish by London silversmith Paul Storr. This piece features a round flat-bottomed well, a squared lip with chamfered corners, and a gadroon rim with shell and acanthus leaf accents to the corners. There is a personalized engraving to the lip. The dish is stamped to the underside with the ‘PS’ maker’s mark alongside four hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling, a leopard’s head for London, a ‘u’ date mark for 1835, and a King William IV duty mark. The approximate weight is 31.005 ozt.
