A Veronese Collection bonded marble and resin reproduction of Hercules and Diomedes. The original sculpture which dates to the 16th century stands in the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence and represents one of the twelve labors of Hercules. The hero defeated Diomedes, a king known for his man-eating horses, and fed him to the horses. The piece is marked ‘Veronese’ on the bottom and retains a ‘Made in China’ sticker.
