Federal Style Walnut Grandfather Clock
Item Details
A 1960s Federal style Grandfather clock, in walnut, with German movements. The clock is housed in a walnut case with a cherry finish and features a broken pediment bonnet with an urn finial and egg and dart molding. The bonnet features side posts with a carved floral design and glass front door that displays a silver-tone face with raised brass-tone Arabic numbers and serpentine hands on a gold-tone backdrop with etched cherub spandrels and scrollwork throughout. The clock has a glass door to the center case with a click latch and displays a brass pendulum and weights on chains. Other features of the clock include a block style base with a carved floral design, carved molding to the base and the clock stands on bracket feet.
