A wood engraving on paper titled Purgatory Canto 6 from the Divine Comedy series by famed 20th century Surrealist Salvador Dali (1904-1989). This image depicts a curvaceous nude figure from behind embracing a darker shadowy figure that appears to be struggling to escape. The work is signed in-plate ‘Dali’ in red in the lower center of the composition. It is presented with layered white linen and green paper liners, but is unframed.
