A collection of antique miniature art. This collection includes a small painting after Bataille de Friedland, 14 juin 1807 by Horace Vernet (French, 1789-1863) depicting Napoleon and several officers atop horses riding through a military camp. This painting is signed illegibly by hand to the lower right corner and appears to read ‘Maissoni.’ The painting is housed in a gold tone wooden frame. The second piece is a small relief profile of a woman’s head mounted on green fabric in a round gold tone wooden frame. The third piece is a small painting of a man brandishing a violin and bow and two women in large ornate dresses holding eachother. No signatures are visible on this painting and it is housed in a gold tone molded metal frame. The last piece is a small silvered oval concave mirror in an ornate gold tone metal frame with foliate and bow detail.

Condition

- warping to ground of both paintings; crack to upper right of larger painting; warp to fabric backing of profile relief; tarnish
and accretions to metal frames significantly to rectangular frame; wear, cracks, and abrasions to finish of wood frames.
