Item Details

A collection of 19th-century miniature portraits on porcelain of women. These piece depict a pair of young women with their hair in carefully-arranged curls, captured in naturalistic palettes of brown and blue. Also included is a portrait of a dour-faced older woman with a shawl wrapped over her head. All three unsigned works are mounted in black frames with circular windows and contrasting fillets, rings to their upper edges for hanging.

- to fair; crack along center of painting of older woman; tarnish to metal to all frames; chips and abrasions to frames.
