A color lithograph on paper by very well-listed Spanish abstract artist Joan Miró (1893 – 1983) created for publication in the 1976 edition of the famed art publication XXe Siecle. This was edition number “XLVI” and was titled Spécial Japon; it was printed by Arte Adrien Maeght, Paris in an unnumbered edition of 3000. The print depicts an abstracted form printed in Miro’s signature palette of black, red, blue, yellow, and green. The print is unsigned. It is triple-matted in black and white and is presented behind glass in a composite frame with gold tone finish and a hanging wire attached to the verso. A plaque attached to the matting’s base gives the artist’s name and lifespan. * Included in the catalogue raisonné ‘Joan Miro: Lithographs Volume VI’ by Patrick Cramer figure 1106.
