A pair of antique hand colored etchings on paper. This pair includes one etching titled Doonas Rapids Near Castle Connell County Limerick Ireland after W.H. Bartlett (British, 1809-1854) and etched by J. Cousen (British, 1804-1880). This etching depicts a couple standing on a rock in the midst of a large rushing waterfall, and features in-plate text along the bottom with the title, artist, and etcher. Also included is an etching titled Abbey of Clare- Galway after W.H. Bartlett and etched by J. Cousen. This etching depicts ruis of an abbey and a large bridge over a body of water, and also features in-plate text along the bottom with the title, artist, and etcher. Both prints are housed in gold tone wooden frames under matboard and glass.
Condition
- mild to moderate discoloration to both images and mats; slight wrinkling to ground; minor to moderate wear to the frames.
