Gorham Sterling Silver "Gorham Plain" Spoon and Assorted Sterling Silver Spoons
Item Details
An assortment of vintage sterling silver spoons including Gorham in the Gorham Plain pattern. This pattern was first introduced in 1933 and features a simple coffin handle that flares toward the terminal with a slightly pointed tip. The back bears the Gorham pseudo hallmarks representing a lion, anchor and ‘G’. This includes a Watson Company Etiquette spoon featuring a simple coffin handle that tapers sharply toward the bowl with a thin, slightly arched stem. The pattern was first introduced in 1923 by Watson. The final items in the assortment are two Towle Lafayette sugar spoons with simple pointed handles. The spoons have points near the base of the bowls where the bowl meets the handles and the Towle mark on the backs. The total approximate weight is 1.455 ozt.
