A hand-colored etching on paper titled Le Depart Du Courier by Jacques-Firmin Beauvarlet (1731 – 1787) after Francois Boucher (1703 – 1770). This Rococo work depicts a young shepherd boy with his sheep and dog in an idyllic landscape sending a message by pigeon. The piece is unsigned but includes an inscription in French to the lower portion of the composition. It is presented behind a white mat with a blue liner, behind glass, in a wood and composite frame with a hanging wire to the verso.

- mild discoloration to image; minor wear to frame.
