Hand-Colored Engraving Fashion Plate from Godey's Lady's Book

A hand-colored engraving from the August, 1859 edition of Godey’s Lady’s Book magazine. This fashion plate depicts four women in the high fashions of the time, conversing in pairs on a garden promenade. It is signed illegibly in plate to the lower left and presented behind a decorative mat and glass in a gold tone and black wood frame that is wired to the verso for hanging.

- moderate discoloration to image; some stains to paper; minor wear to frame.
