A hand-colored engraving on paper titled Boston From The Dorchester Heights by James T. Willmore (1800 – 1863) after a painting by William H. Bartlett (1809 – 1854). This work depicts the view from Dorchester Heights, the highest point in South Boston, overlooking the city of Boston in the 19th Century. The piece is printed to the lower margin with the name of the engraver, the original artist, and the title. It is presented behind a white mat with a gray liner, behind glass, in a wooden frame with a hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- mild to moderate discoloration to image; minor wrinkling to ground; slight wear to frame.
