An oil painting on canvas of a figure by listed artist Michael Hafftka. This Expressionist style painting depicts a half-clothed figure posed floating with feet dragging against the ground as he looks onward with a perplexed grimace. The subject is rendered with gestural brush strokes and is set against a segmented background of pale yellow, black, white and hunter green. To the lower right corner of the composition is a painted signature, dated 1982. The canvas is wrapped over a wooden stretcher.
