Item Details
A watercolor painting on paper of a courtyard by artist Sean Childs. This painting depicts a hallway supported by arches and thick columns overlooking a rustic courtyard featuring a balcony, potted plants and figural fountain with a gate and watchtower to the distance. The pooled pigment is reinforced by ink, which outlines each form and also defines them with linear marks. To the lower left corner of the composition is a handwritten artist signature, dated 1979. The painting is presented under glass beneath matting in a dark wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
