A Peruvian handwoven wall hanging. This piece is a warp-faced weaving in vertical stripes of rust, light brown, yellow ochre, pale yellow, and white, with black used for design elements. The weft is created by weaving flat sticks into the piece and creating bands of pattern that include bundles of colored thread on a black ground, white fringe, stylized faces, and geometric forms. The piece has a free warp fringe along the bottom.
