Antique Chinese and English Tea Bowls and Saucers with Glass
Item Details
A selection of antique porcelain. The group includes Chinese export and English examples from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Included are two green glass pieces, eight tea bowls, and five saucers, The pedestal bowls feature green glass style floral forms with gilt scrolling accents to the center. The porcelain tea bowls contain a six piece and a four piece matching sets in red floral sprigs and green foliate patterns respectively. The three remaining bowls are Chinese and feature figures or floral motifs. There are no visible maker’s marks to the pieces as is typical for eighteenth and early nineteenth century Chinese and some English porcelain. Pattern numbers can be found on some of the English examples.
Condition
- wear to gilding on glass bowls; hairlines cracks to two bowls; marks and scratches; some spotting.
