L. Straus & Sons Limoges Porcelain Plates and More
Item Details
A set of porcelain plates by L. Straus & Sons Limoges. Each is decorated with a central sprig and four alternating clusters of pink, white, and violet flowers. They are decorated with gilt scrolls and confetti-like motifs, finished with a gilt band to the edge. They bear a red underglaze mark indicating a production date c. 1890-1920. Also included are four German porcelain plates with a graduated blue and yellow ground, decorated with pink roses and gilt filigree. They are marked ‘Germany 15’ to the base.
Condition
- small surface scratches and minor wear throughout consistent with gentle use.
