An etching on paper by well-listed German surrealist artist Hans Bellmer (1902-1975) from the circa 1965 Madame Edwarda portfolio. The monochromatic image depicts a stylized portrait of two female figures as one ascends a spiral staircase. The work is double-matted in brown and tan and presented under glass in a gold tone frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- light discoloration to paper and matting; sticker residue to glass; minor scratching to frame.
