Art Glass Paperweights

A group of three art glass paperweights. The group includes a Phoenix Paperweights Ltd. (Scotland) piece with a butterfly and floral millefiori design, signature ‘PP’ to the center and etch marked on the underside ‘Phoenix 2003 25/50. It comes with the original box and a slip with code FP20, edition 50 and No. 25. Phoenix Paperweights was a small company started by William Manson Sr. to enlist three workers from Perthshire after it closed in January 2002. The company only lasted a year and issued paperweights between 2002-2003 before closing in August 2003. Phoenix operated in the Manson works in Perth, Scotland. The group also includes vintage ’Norleans Japan’ ribbed apple shaped weight with a blue center; a signed J. Byron (John J. Byron) opaque weight with organic swirling linework in hues of blue.
