Restrike After Utagawa Hiroshige 1833 Japanese Woodblock Print

A restrike after an original Japanese woodblock print on paper by Utagawa Hiroshige (歌川 広重, 1797 – 1858), titled Kameyama, print number 47 from the series Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō (東海道五十三次之内), created in 1833. The print depicts a snowy mountainside landscape with a glowing orange and blue sky in the distance. Several characters are printed to the upper left, and the artist’s seal and signature are printed to the lower right. The printed is matted in white with decorative die-cut corners and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with a carved faux bamboo finish and a hanging wire.

- print is slightly discolored with age.
