A pair of Byers’ Choice Gathering the Holly Christmas carolers. These two ceramic figurines in traditional clothing and carrying a basket of faux holly stand on round green pedestals which are attached to a brown wooden oval base. They are costumed after a vintage Christmas card illustrated with two children gathering the holly in a woven basket. This reproduction card is marked with the phrase ‘Merry Christmas – I wish you a Christmas merry and glad, And the happiest time you ever had’. A maker’s label affixed to the base is marked ‘Byers’ Choice Ltd. – Christmas Illustrations – Gathering the Holly – Chalfont, Pa – 2004’.
