Item Details

An oil painting on canvas of a figural landscape. The work depicts three figures with a dog and a sled situated near a rustic church surrounded by snowy fields and stylyzed trees. The work is faintly signed possibly ‘Mc.L. Gardner’ to the lower right corner. Presented without glass, beneath a gilt liner, housed in a gesso and gilt frame comprised of floral running pattern.

Condition

- wear, craquelure, stains and minor loss to gesso on frame; minor scratches and discoloration throughout the composition.
