Two vintage signed etchings on paper. The first depicts two figures arriving at a cottage door as a woman comes out to greet them. It is illegibly signd within the plate to the lower right. Presented under glass in a simple black wood frame with a metal loop hanger. The second etching, by A. Simes and titled Bishop’s Palace, Exeter, depicts a cathedral and the adjoining residence. It is signed and titled in graphite to the lower margin. It is presented behind an off-white mat, under glass, in a black wood frame and is ready to hang with a wire. A label from Closson’s Gallery, CIncinnati, is present to the verso.

Condition

- toning to both prints and mat. Wear to finish of each frame.

- measures frame of Cathedral print. Plate mark measures 3.5" W x 5.5" H.
- frame of figural print measures 5.75" W x 8.75" H x .5" D. Plate mark measures 3.75" W x 5.25" H.
