Vintage Porcelain Basket, Decorative Pansy-Planter Including Meissen
Item Details
An assortment of porcelain floral pieces, including Meissen. The assortment contains three pieces, including an ash receiver, a basket, and a bouquet figurine. An oblong basket with handle features a hand-painted depiction of a flowering ranunculus plant with peach-colored blooms; it is marked ‘Austria’ on the underside, with a swallow stamp. A small faux planter is filled with Pansy leaves and blooms in different colors; it is marked ‘July/Staffs/Crown England,’ with ‘Staffs’ likely indicating ‘Staffordshire.’ The ash receiver features pink rose blooms and buds, along with foliage; it is marked with a Meissen double blue sword on the underside, the mark indicating the piece was made after 1933.
Condition
- minor scratches and scuffs on all pieces; there are marks in the interior of the basket; basket also has a small paint stain on the exterior, as well as some loss to finish, and exterior scratches.
