An original abstract acrylic painting on canvas by contemporary American artist Robbie Kemper (Cincinnati, Ohio; born 1957). This very large abstract composition features a hectic scramble of red, gray, and white paint strokes set against a stark white background. A patch of pale yellow paint to the lower edge becomes the piece’s focal point, drawing the viewer’s eyes across the composition. Signed to the lower left in black. To the verso, equipped to hang. Kemper studied art at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning, and is currently a studio resident at the Pendleton Art Center in the historic district of Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio.
