Chamberlain's Worcester Covered Sugar Bowl Circa 1786-1810

An antique late eighteenth to early nineteenth century Chamberlain’s Worcester covered sugar bowl with lid. The soft paste porcelain has with a decorative blue and gilded design. The gilded floral design with painted blue bands and a swirled fluted moulding. It should be noted that often wares of this period were sparsely decorated show off the body. Other features of the jar include a decorative dome style lid with a white and gilded finial and a round base with gilded trim. There is a painted mark reading ’Chamberlain’s Worcester’ and an early pattern number ‘274’ suggesting a date of manufacturing in the late eighteenth century.
