This Post-Impressionist style painting depicts a squat, pinched vessel posed next to an overturned cup, which both rest against a toned background and magenta colored cloth. The composition is rendered with truncated brush strokes that are layered on top of one another in a manner similar to Vincent van Gogh. The unsigned painting is presented under glass in a dark wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
