An antique Anglo-Indian teak bridal chest This very large, heavy chest is made of an unknown dark wood, with a dark finish. It has hand-carved details to the front, with three dimensional leaping horse figures on the four corners, with chip carved patterns along the horizontal and vertical edges. The top and sides have recessed panels and iron straps. There are sliding panels on the front, which open to reveal storage space with a shelf inside. Two links of an iron chain dangle from one side. No maker’s marks.
