Antique Pine and Curly Maple Tool Chest

An antique dovetailed pine tool chest with curly maple fitted interior, circa mid-19th century. This rectangular piece features a hinged, planked top with raised central panel and banded metal edges. The interior reveals a curly maple planked top with two curly maple sectioned trays with a lower sliding board storage area. The outside of the case has a keyhole in the top trim board above a pine panel front showing hand dove-tailed joined edges. It is mounted to a tray style stand with squat block feet and includes iron handles at each side.
