A hand-knotted Shiraz wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, indigo, ivory, clementine, emerald, and deep wine. The crimson colored field features hexagonal pole medallions infilled with geometric motifs, along with flowering motifs. Framing the field is a main carnation meander border with diamond guard borders. Finishing the rug are striped overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Labeled.
