A hand-knotted Persian Sarouk area rug. This wool carpet features a vibrant red field patterned with floral sprays and vasiform shapes in shades of emerald, teal,yellow and blue. It features a main border of pink flower blossoms and vines on a navy blue field with compound guard borders of geometric forms and a carnation meander. It has fringe to either end and it is not marked.
