An oil painting on canvas backed with board titled Two Seated Figures by listed American artist Edgar Hatten (1929-1990). The work depicts the figures in muted green and yellows. Signed and titled by the artist to the verso. Accompanied by an exhibition catalog from the Cincinnati Art Galleries on the artist.

Hatten was known for painting abstract still lives and landscapes, integrating mood, concept, visual elements, and drama. He was born in Wyoming and lived most of his life in Los Angeles. He was a teacher at Swinbourne College in Australia, and in California at East Los Angeles College and Citrus College.
