Square-Edged Marble Vase

Item Details

An square-edged marble vase, appearing to be East Asian in make. This piece is carved from what it believed to be two solid pieces of marble, allowing the maker to give it carefully-designed edges. There are incised face-like details marked into the squared-off sides, along with three pairs of decorative ridges. The piece does not appear to have any maker’s marks.
