A sepia offset lithograph titled The Mouse after Hermann Kaulbach (German 1846-1909). Kaulbach is known as a painter often depicting children in southern and eastern Bavaria. He is famous for capturing the small joys and sorrows of life. This photograph print of an original painting depicts children reacting to a mouse on a set of wood steps. The lower right edge of the print is marked ‘copyright 1901, (publisher) Franz Hanfstaengl.’ The print is presented in an antique wood frame under glass.
