Vintage Copeland Spode "Tower" Bone China Plates

A set of five vintage Copeland Spode Tower transferware plates. Each plate displays a deep pink transfer-printed image of the Bridge of Salaro near Rome and gadrooning to the edges with a floral border. The Tower pattern was introduced 1814 and was taken from an 18th-century illustration in the book Views of Rome and its Vicinity by Merigot. Each plate is marked ‘Copeland Spode’s Tower England’.
