A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Kerman wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, mauve, sky blue, salmon, rose, and black. The ivory field features a large central pendant medallion with large spandrels, all infilled with floral motifs. Framing the field is a main herati patterned border, along with carnation meander and sawtooth guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
